July Favourites

So, I am a little late in posting my favourites but to be honest I didn't actually realise how far through August we were! I mean, August crept up on us but now September is slowly approaching, eeek. Anyway, this is what I have been loving throughout July, and up until now!

Topshop Matte Nails in Confess -

I can't remember what price this was but I am sure I got it in the sale for about £2, but I absolutely love it! It is the perfect shade to express 'its still summer but not really' and the application is really nice. Plus it only needs 2 coats and you are good to go! I also love the frosted packaging to match it's texture. *One point to topshop*

Sleek Contour Kit (£6.49) -

Ahh, a product that I really cannot live without! The contour shade is perfect because you can apply it really light, if you are pale skinned like myself, but you can really build this up! I have had this for around 3 months and it looks like I just bought it! However the highlighter is a little shimmery, but it still works a treat for the price!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser (£7.99) -

My trustworthy primer, you can use this alone, or underneath make-up, and it really does provide a clean, smooth base to apply your foundation on! It leaves my face pore-less and allows me to apply my foundation like a dream. While I do think it is a little pricey, it really isn't in comparison to some higher end products. Plus, a little goes a long way in terms of this!

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue (£3.49) -

I was a little sceptical when first purchasing this, however I am so glad I bit the bullet and bought it! This has been my lip saviour and I cannot leave the house without it! I have it in too cool but I believe it comes in 3 other shades which I will definitely be getting. Mine is very mint flavoured but doesn't irritate my lips and keeps them nicely moisturised.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 38 (£5.49) -

Pretty sure I have spoken about this before but it us just a perfectly wearable pinky/nude lipstick that basically matches anything I put on! It keeps my lips moisturised and the colour is surprisingly long lasting, highly recommend this, and well basically all the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks because I just love them!

Parlor Sea Salt Spray -

I do not know the price of this as I received mine in a birch box. If you love this smell of freshly cut grass then this will be very appealing because it smells like just that! The size is perfect for travel and it really does make my hair effortless to style. However it does make my hair feel a little knotted but I get that with all sea salt sprays!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (£7.99) -

I have spoken about this before but there is no way that I couldn't include it! It is the perfect mascara for my lashes as it gives them the perfect balance of length, curl and volume - basically just try it and see for yourself!

EcoTool's Eye Enhancing Duo Brush Set (£6.99) -

I have been using these eye shadow brushes religiously for about 2 months now...they are that good. Whilst I only own a few others these are by far the best I have tried for the extremely small price tag! Plus they are the perfect set for travelling! The set includes a shape and define brush along with a blend and smudge brush, and not to mention that they are cruelty free. If you want a pair of inexpensive, good quality brushes then look no further!

What have you been loving throughout July?

Review: My First MAC Lipstick

After hearing so many excellent reviews about MAC lipsticks, I decided it was time to jump on the band wagon and try one out for myself. While they are a little pricey at £15.50 I was definitely intrigued to see if they lived up to expectations.

My boyfriend kindly offered to buy me one, an offer which was hard not to refuse and so I chose the shade plumful; a beautiful purple, which can be toned down to a wonderful pink (depending on how you apply it). In fact, it is the colour that Elsa wears on the tv series Once Upon a Time.

Do I believe it is worth it's price tag? Yes and No.
YES - I found the colour of the lipstick to be exactly what it looked like, and it did not budge for hours - even after going out for a meal. It is also a very wearable colour throughout the year - I will wear this just as much in winter as I will in the summer. Probably one of the best things about it was just how nice it felt on my lips - a wonderful smooth, moisturising texture with a distinct vanilla flavour.  Plus, the sleek packaging is just to die for.

NO - I did find this to be much more of an indulgent purchase, especially when you can get three drug store lipsticks for the price of just one MAC lipstick. However, you can get more expensive lipsticks so this is cheap in comparison (or is that just my excuse to buy more?).

Will I be buying any more? Absolutely.
Although pricey, I definitely won't stop buying them - I am in fact looking forward to going shopping again *heart eye emoji*.

What is your favourite MAC lipstick and do you have any suggestions for colours I should try out?

Summer make up must-haves!

In the summer months I like to go for a more natural look, especially when I am abroad - who wants a face full of make up being sweated off in the blazing heat - am I right? While this is not always in the UK, what with it's temperamental weather, I still like to give it a go.

One thing that I most definitely use in the summer is a nude-y or a coral lip. My absolute favourites are my Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks in 03 (a full review, here) and 38 - why can't they have pretty names god-damn-it! - and my Topshop lipstick in Ohh La La. In my opinion, theses three shades could conquer the world - they are all very different and guaranteed to match whatever you are wearing, whilst still keeping your lips lovely and moist - I dislike that word

Ohh La La; 03; 38
For coverage, especially abroad, I rarely reach for a foundation and instead just use my Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer (that is one heck of a mouthful) and their Dream Fresh BB cream. Together they do amazing things - the primer makes my skin look, and feel as soft as a baby's bottom, and the BB cream gives me that little bit extra glow, whilst achieving a moisturised finish. To add a little glow to my cheeks I opt for the Topshop Head Over Heals cream blush, which is by far the best cream blusher I have ever tried - and it is a perfect match for the Ohh La La lipstick!
Now onto eyes... Perhaps the most monumental piece of my make up collection is my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This promises to multiply your lashes making them look visibly multiplied and fuller - and my goodness it does just that and much more. I have heard many raving reviews about this, and how it is a very good dupe for Benefits Roller Lash Mascara, while I cannot compare on this note, I highly doubt I will be upgrading any time soon! Plus, they have even released a waterproof version - does that not just scream summer or what?!
Look at that brush!
Like always, I have to have a cat eye, and Topshop's Magic Liner does just the trick! It has a very brush which goes from very fine, to a nice thickness - you an definitely create multiple looks with this one. Plus, it is yet to dry out and I have had this a good few months!

Last, but by no means least is the Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3. I have heard this is a very good dupe for the Naked 3 palette and it definitely provides me with a lot of summery shades! However, if there is one thing I dislike about Makeup Revolution Palettes it is the fact that they can be quite hard to get out of the packaging. This is probably because they aren't as powdery - but for £4 I cannot complain!

What are your summer essentials?

love, Rhianna

P.S. any tips for not babbling as much - I never aim to write loads and end up with a lot of writing *sad face emoji*

The Pink Parcel | It's a monthly thing #2

After discovering the Pink Parcel a few months ago, I have not yet been disappointed by the contents. As well as sending you your monthly supplies for that time of the month it also sends a a small box of treats to make that time a little more bearable. I do still wish that I found this box when I first started my period, honestly it gives you something to look forward to.

With the price of the box being around £10 per month I think it is a bargain, especially with period supplies not being the cheapest usually. Also, your first box is around £6 so all the more reason to try it out! You get to choose tampons or pads and trust me you get more than enough, I still have so many left of my previous boxes.

This months box contained:
Richard Ward Creative Hair Wheat Nutrient Masque
Flamingo Candles Strawberries and Champagne Scent Melt
L'occitane Essential Water
Fudge Kitchen Drinking Fudge - Sea Salted Caramel
Montezuma's Butterscotch Chocolate
Anatomicals Botanical Hydrating Rose Face Mask

I have heard of the company which sells the wax tarts and believe me when I say it smells ah-maz-ing, this is something I cannot wait to use.

I love the fact that they not only send you beauty things, but also send sweet things like chocolate. They really have thought of everything to allow you to pamper yourself. You can also choose a certain date to which your box will arrive so it falls in line with your due date!

If you feel like treating yourself then you can sign up, here

What are your monthly pamper essentials?

Check Out Those Charity Shops!

Hello all!

Firstly, apologies.. I haven't posted in a while due to revising. While I still need to continue my revision, I won't be posting as much, but I am going to try my very best! Summer seriously can't come quick enough! But back to the post now!

Everyone loves a bargain right? When it comes to spending money I love it at the time and then I am filled with guilt for a few days after. While present day Rhianna is like "gimmie gimmie gimmie" future Rhianna is sat saying "you didn't really need that though did you". But, when it comes to shopping in charity shops, I feel no guilt what. so. ever. Not only are you getting something great, but the money goes to charity AND you get something for the fraction of its original price, you can actually feel good about spending money (did I really just say that?).

If you have spent most of your teenage life (like I did) saying "eww no I am not shopping in a charity shop", now is the time to think again, you will be truly surprised with some of the things you can get. Obviously I wash what I buy before wearing it but, saving the pennies definitely makes it worth it.

For example, I found this BEAUTIFUL River Island embellished top, WITH it's tags still on (even the spare beads) for £4.50. Now, it didn't say how much it was originally on the tags, but you can see how embellished it is, so I can't imagine it was cheap. But what a bargain!

If this top isn't an incentive to get to your closest charity shop and have a nosey then I don't know what is!

I appreciate that I haven't included a full length picture of the top, but I couldn't get one that did it justice!

It is safe to say that I am always checking my charity shops now! When I have the time to have a good old rake of course.

What is your best second hand find?

What's In My Makeup Bag?

Hello everyone, and Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter day it is too being 15 degrees outside, and sunny so England does have it perks. Unfortunately I am revising so unable to enjoy to sun...booo. I do hope some of you are enjoying it though!

While the contents of my make up bag does change a lot, I have included the products which are very likely to be in it...you could call it my everyday make-up to go with my every-day lipstick post -here. I can always rely on these products to give me a wonderful natural look, or even glam it up a bit. If that's how you would say it? I don't know but here is the contents;

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 091 | £6.99 |. This is a foundation I will reach for time and time again, it has okay coverage and feels nice on my skin.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 01 | £4.19 |. A blogger favourite, I usually just apply this under my eyes and over the odd blemish - luckily I am not too prone to them!

I don't as of yet use any powder, I always find it makes me look orange, maybes I have been using the wrong colour I don't know so I would love to hear some suggestions!

Collection Bronze Glow Shimmering bronzer in Light.£2.99 | What I love about this is that you can really apply minimal for a natural look, or you can really build it up - its nicely pigmented making it nice to blend out,

Bourjois Blush in Rose D'or. | £7.99 |This is lovely! Again, you can minimally apply it or build it up and is wonderful for a nice summer glow.

Collections Eyes Undiscovered Nude Palette | £3.99 |, For a cheap drugstore eyeshadow palette it does the job brilliantly! The colours all have a nice pigmentations and are easy to blend.

Bourjois 1 second volume mascara | £9.99 |. This was a recent purchase, but I can safely say I really like it! I will do a review soon-ish on it.

Collection Brow Kit | £3.99 |I only use the lightest colour so it seems pointless having all three. It comes with a cute eyebrow mascara thing which is great for setting my eyebrows in place.

Rimmel Gel eyeliner £6.99 | I have only just purchased this and I have by no means mastered applying this yet. But it lasts all day and is great for flicks!

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 03 | £5.49 | I wrote a post on this here. I love love love the colour of it - great for a nice plain but elegant look! Since I bought it, the only time it has left my lips is at bedtime.

Have you tried any of these products?
